William Calahan Jr. is the youngest of the four Calahan children. And, the only boy.Mother's favorite. He has what some of us call, the mommy problem and has spent the better part of his life trying to either hide or come out of mom's closet.

Miguel Ramón Ibarra Portes is one of Meg's best friends, a graduate of the San Francisco Academy of Art. Susan and Miguel met near the San Francisco MOMA, when Susan appeared in the Ninth Circuit for oral argument on a rape case and went looking for solace in artistic philosophical expression. Miguel was safe. Gay. Susan didn't have to worry about him hitting on her. She brought him home to meet her brother. From that moment on mother would say Willie was Meg's fault.
